2017-2018 SGA MULTICULTURAL AFFAIRS COMMITTEE SPONSORSHIP APPLICATION
We are truly honored that your Organization chose the Multicultural Affairs Committee to seek funding from! We truly wish that we can help you reach your funding goal and hope that you feel the need to return for funding whenever you please.
We would just like to make this process a little more transparent to all and to make the process a little easier. So here are some rules and regulations for organizations that are wish to apply for funding.
ALL Organizations must apply for funding NO LATER than a WEEK before the event being sponsored, unless otherwise notified.
ALL Organizations that wish to apply for MAC Funding MUST KEEP ALL ITEMIZED RECEIPTS for the FUNDED EVENT and turn them back in NO LATER than THIRTY (30) DAYS after the Allocation Hearing or the date of the specified event, whichever falls later. Per the SGA Bylaws:
8.11.3 A group receiving co-sponsorship will provide the Multicultural Affairs Committee with an itemized expenditure report of the total event budget as outlined by the committee. The report shall include duplicates of receipts and, if any, advertising and/or promotional materials for the co-sponsored activity/event and will be given to the budget committee within thirty (30) days of using the allocation or the event’s conclusion, whichever is later.
8.12 Groups not complying with the rules described herein shall be placed on probation, during which time they will be ineligible to receive co-sponsorship funds, for the remainder of the semester in which the event occurred and the two full semesters following.
ALL Organizations that are granted funding, through MAC, MUST advertise the Multicultural Affairs Committee logo on their promotional items (i.e. A-Frames, Programs, Shirts, Fliers, etc.)
ALL Organizations applying for funds must be in good standing with Campus Life, the Committee on Student Organizations, and their umbrella organization.
ALL Organizations Approved for the funding of Ticketed Events must provide the Multicultural Affairs Committee with a minimum of FIVE (5) tickets.
*Groups not complying with the rules described herein shall be placed on probation, during which time they will be ineligible to receive co-sponsorship funds, for the remainder of the semester in which the event occurred and the two full semesters following.
**Shall a group rectify the violation prior to the end of the probationary period; the probation shall be considered completed.
